Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Raja Ampat mainly for diving, but I'd love to know what other activities or spots I should check out while there. Any hidden gems or local secrets?

Definitely spend a day exploring the Arborek Village. The locals are incredibly welcoming, and you can learn a lot about their way of life. Plus, they have some handicraft shops where you can get unique souvenirs.

If you have a drone, don't miss the chance to capture the Pianemo Islands from above. The view of the emerald green waters against the jagged karst islands is out of this world!

Take a kayak trip around the smaller islands. It's peaceful and you get to see parts of the archipelago that are inaccessible by larger boats. Watch out for the hidden lagoons!

These suggestions are great, thanks! How about local cuisine? Any special dishes I should try?

You must try the local seafood dishes. Ika bakar (grilled squid) is a favorite around here. Fresh and flavorful, often served right on the beach.

Also, if you're visiting during a local festival, you'll get to experience some traditional dancing and music. It's a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the culture.

Anyone interested in a group hike to see the sunrise from Wayag Island? It's a tough climb but absolutely worth it for the view.

That sounds amazing, I'm in! Also, does anyone have tips on respecting local customs and ensuring we are traveling responsibly?

Always ask before taking photos of people, and it's good practice to buy products and services locally to support the community. Also, be mindful of waste disposal, especially plastics!
