Hey everyone! Just visited Shifen Waterfall last weekend. It’s an incredible spot tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle. Anyone else been there recently?
I'm planning a trip there next month! How do you recommend getting there? Is it easy to find?
Super easy to get to! Just take a train to Shifen Station, and from there it's a scenic walk to the waterfall. The path is well marked, so you won’t miss it.
I went last year! The place is magical, especially early in the morning with the mist over the water. Did you go to any other spots around Shifen?
Yes, I explored the old street in Shifen too. It’s great for picking up some souvenirs and trying local street food. Don’t miss out on the lantern flying experience!
That sounds amazing! What about the crowds? I’ve heard it can get pretty busy.
Definitely try to go early or on a weekday if you can. It gets more crowded around noon, especially on weekends.
Anyone tried the hike that goes behind the waterfall? I read that it offers a fantastic view but not sure how tough it is.
The hike isn’t too difficult, but wear good shoes because it can be slippery. The view from behind the waterfall is absolutely worth the effort!
Thanks for all the great tips, everyone! Looking forward to the trip. How’s the weather there? Should I pack a raincoat?
The weather can be quite unpredictable, so a raincoat is a good idea. It can also help with the mist from the falls.
Last tip: if you’re into photography, bring a waterproof camera or a cover. The spray from the waterfall can drench your gear quick!
Perfect! Thanks for the heads up. Can’t wait to share my own photos and experiences with you all soon!
