Hey everyone! Planning my next adventure to Sibiu, Romania and I'm all about off-the-beaten-path experiences. Any secret spots or local cuisine recommendations?
Just got back from Sibiu! You must try the local 'ciorbă de burtă', it’s a traditional sour soup that’s just divine. Also, check out the Bridge of Lies for some cool photos and intriguing history.
Definitely spend an evening exploring the lesser-known Astra Museum. It’s outdoors and gives a fascinating glimpse into traditional Romanian life.
Sibiu’s old town is a maze of medieval streets. Take your time wandering; it's like stepping back in time. Also, the café scene is vibrant—perfect for people watching!
Anyone interested in a local meetup? I'm in Sibiu next month and it would be great to explore with fellow travelers.
Thanks, everyone! All these tips are super helpful. Nate, that soup sounds intriguing – adding it to my list!
Wendy, if you're looking for a day trip, consider the Transfăgărășan highway. It’s a breathtaking drive, not far from Sibiu. Plenty of scenic stops and hikes along the way.
Bella, totally agree about the old town. Also, if you're into cultural etiquette, join one of the local festivals if you're there during the summer. The folklore is rich and the dances are mesmerizing.
Trevor, I might take you up on that meetup! It’d be great to share the experience with someone who’s also into travel photography.
Awesome, Bella! Let’s coordinate closer to the date. Meanwhile, does anyone have tips on less touristy photo spots in Sibiu?
Trevor, there’s an old water mill just outside the city. It’s rarely visited and offers some unique photo opportunities, especially at sunrise.
Wendy, that sounds perfect for my collection of rustic and historical sites. Thanks for the tip!
