Hey fellow travelers! I'm heading to Lesotho for a two-week adventure and would love to hear your recommendations for hidden gems and local experiences. What shouldn't I miss?

You have to visit the Sani Pass! It's a breathtaking route through the mountains and you can also stop at the highest pub in Africa for a unique experience. Make sure you have a 4x4 though, the terrain can be challenging!

For a taste of local culture, check out a traditional Basotho village. You can learn about their unique way of life, try some local cuisine, and even purchase beautifully crafted Basotho blankets—a must for anyone visiting Lesotho.

Definitely check out the Morija Arts & Cultural Festival if you're there in September. It's a fantastic way to experience local music, arts, and dances. It's one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the culture.

Don’t miss the Maletsunyane Falls near Semonkong. The waterfall is stunning, and if you're feeling adventurous, there's a company that organizes abseiling down the falls!

That sounds incredible! Has anyone tried abseiling there? I’m a bit nervous but excited!

I went abseiling at Maletsunyane last year, and it was amazing! The guides are very professional and make safety a priority. It’s an exhilarating experience with unforgettable views.

If you want a quieter experience, the Tsehlanyane National Park is perfect for hiking and spotting wildlife. It’s less crowded than other parks and offers some of the best hiking trails in the country.

Layer up! The weather can change quickly in the mountains. Also, don’t forget a good pair of hiking boots, a hat, and sunscreen. And of course, bring a good camera to capture the stunning landscapes.

One last tip—learn a few phrases in Sesotho. Locals appreciate it when visitors make an effort to speak the local language.
